I've been reading your book and love it so far! Just got to the part where you're starting to get the hang of it after week 1. :) I've visited a few farms, but have never got my hands dirty in the actual work... I think I could handle it for like a weekend... if that. (wimpy, I know) Anyway, best of luck on your book tour! You must try Shaw's lobster roll in Chicago -- it's actually one of my favorites after trying about a dozen different ones from NYC and around the east coast at the Tasting Table Lobster Roll Rumble.

I will be at Brasserie 19 ready to eat some oysters, drink some wine, and talk oysters with you. I'm not a "professional", just someone who really likes to eat oysters, and prefers the northern oysters to what we get from the Gulf.

Really looking forward to it.

Happy New Year to you and your family. Funny you should mention the Blue Pools from Hama Hama. We just tried them on NYE at the sage suggestion of our ICOB waiter, and they were a hit with us too. The aprons look great. So are these extras you speak of available for purchase or obtainable through the ICO site? :-)
