Dear Erin, I just finished reading Shucked. I’ve been following the evolution of oyster aquaculture in Maryland. Your book has inspired me to take a deeper interest. Great read! Tons of information. I truly appreciate the insight.

Hi Erin, I am so happy I found out about your book in my October issue of Coastal Living magazine. I am almost finished with the book, but I don’t want the adventure and learning to end. Any plans for you to do signings and appearances in Southern California? Thank you.

Thanks, Roberta. It was a really thoughtful article! And I’m so glad you’re enjoying the book. Believe me: Once you get oysters into your system, you never stop learning. There are so many new varieties and growing methods to discover out there. Right now, I have no plans to get out to CA but if you can recommend any events that might fit, I will try to make my way out there. Do they have oyster festivals in Southern CA??

What a great New Year’s we had with your mom and dad and of course, the oysters. Thanks for making the ICO’s possible for us. Between them and all of your mom’s good cooking, I am officially on a diet. Wish you, Dave, and Charlie could have joined us. So, this is my first posting on a blog so I’m a little nervous. Hope to see you in April. Love and kisses.

Just finished reading your book and it has inspired me to figure out exactly what I really want to do with my life. I hope you will come down to NYC for a signing, as I’d like to thank you in person. My brother also enjoyed your book and promptly ordered a bag of Island Creeks to enjoy. Thanks!

We have a book group that meets monthly. Wonder if you would talk to us about your book for 30 to 60 minutes by phone. We would schedule it after we’ve your book. I just finished it, and couldn’t put it down!
